The client was a passenger involved in a car accident involving a truck. He claimed that he sustained a fracture of his right (dominant) clavicle; a fracture of his right scapula, a fracture of his right shoulder’s humeral neck, a disc herniation at C4-5 and a traumatic brain injury. He contended that his brain injury resulted in cognitive deficits that include memory loss. The client sought recovery of his future medical expenses and damages for his past and future pain and suffering.

He claimed that he also sustained a shoulder injury that resulted in impingement of the shoulder. The impingement was released during arthroscopic surgery. The client suffered a lumbar injury requiring a laminectomy. The client sought recovery of his future medical expenses and damages for his past and future pain and suffering.

Injuries include comminuted displaced right fibular shaft fracture, crush injury to the right ankle, injury to the tibial nerve and mal-union of the fracture with callus formation of the right ankle.

The client was a passenger in the vehicle operated by his cousin that police officers contended ran a red light, nearly hitting their unmarked vehicle that was stopped at the light. The police officers contended that they attempted to stop the car, however were unable to do so because the car sped away and ran numerous red lights. Approximately one minute after the police officers contended that they discontinued following the car, the car struck a pole. The Driver of the car was arrested at the scene, for operating a motor vehicle while impaired, among other things. The Driver of the car pled guilty to driving while impaired and with reckless endangerment. The City of New York and the New York City Police Department settled with the client during trial.

Client sustained fractures at the junction of the bilateral superior pubic rami in anterior acetabular columns, open reduction with internal fixation of left clavicle and other injuries.
